I had the most amazing dream last night. The particulars are personally significant, as is the fact that I woke up in very good spirits. For once, in a very long time, I wasn’t dreading my day. My conspicuously morose disposition was shed in light of a more heartening one. This is a colossal triumph. I also found myself singing, “Time of the Season” by the Zombies. Ah…
To say I love The Zombies and this song in particular is an absolute understatement. “Time of the Season” transcends time and space. Although “epic” comes to mind (simply because I’m so obviously overly expressive and utterly adore exploiting the word) I fear it is not evocative enough to adequately describe how much it completely.stirs.my.soul.
“What's your name?
Who's your daddy?
Is he rich like me…?
Has he taken
Any time…
To show you what you need to live?
Tell it to me slowly...
Tell you what?
I really want to know...
It's the time of the season for loving…”
I’ve listened to the song on repeat all morning. Obsessive of me? Perhaps. Thanks to a great friend I have a link to an original vinyl lp recording. Ah…..

Yes it certainly is the time of the season…for many things…for all things, including infinite possibility.

I too love the song, minus that organ solo. Same thing for almost any Doors songs. I am anti-organ/electric pianos. But I always equate this song with a guy trying to get laid... I think this is why I never "got" literature, I never saw what "they" told me I was supposed to see. But then again, that's art. Completely open to interpretation. SOOOOO glad you woke up in a great mood and in a happy place!!
